New test bench: Hydraulic cartridges

Project Group presents the Hydraulic Test Bench solution.

A task that this time sets the objective of qualifying human work while simultaneously increasing productivity and saving time.

ELT Fluid SRL, a manufacturer of cartridge valves for hydraulics, relies on Project Group to improve efficiency – through automated solutions – in the process of testing, trialling and measuring the hydraulic parameters of hydraulic valves.

Work that looks to the future, renewing tried-and-tested but now outmoded processes.

Project Group designed a customised solution for the company: the Hydraulic Test Bench.

QUALIFYING HUMAN WORK BY INCREASING PRODUCTIVITY AND SAVING TIME!

WHAT IS IT TECHNICALLY?

The Hydraulic Test Bench is a robot capable of handling various types of valves (up to 28 different codes) autonomously.

It sustains autonomous working shifts of 8 hours each and, thanks to advance programming, can operate 24 hours a day, thus guaranteeing the company continuous work.

The robot manages the bench, controls the flow of tests, is autonomous in quality control and is capable of also rejecting defective parts.

Productivity, Savings, Safety and operator health.

These are the three main advantages that the use of this innovative robot brings.

THE 3 MAIN ADVANTAGES

PRODUCTIVITY
Its use increases output by at least 2/3 compared with human labour, reaching up to 1,600 parts tested in 24 hours.

SAVINGS
This stems from the productivity-to-time ratio, and the economic return is almost immediate: in a single day it triples the output of a human operator, enabling the company over the course of the year to produce and sell a greater quantity of parts.

OPERATOR SAFETY AND HEALTH
put an end to wearing, repetitive work – let the machines do it.

The plant, which is remotely tele-controlled and connected to company information systems, also enables maintenance and diagnostic interventions and allows the company to benefit from the fiscal provisions linked to Industry 4.0.

THE CUSTOMER’S PERSPECTIVE

Imer Iori, the company’s commercial manager, gave highly positive feedback, stating that after evaluating its performance he is willing to continue investing in the automation of the company’s processes.

A robot capable of meeting expectations by increasing productivity – and not only that: triggering within the team a more organised and structured management style.

Project Group not only creates customised solutions but places them at the heart of human work.
For robots too, the saying holds: united we stand.
