What is Business Intelligence and why is it useful?
Project Group has adopted the InfoVision software by Zucchetti, the Italian sector leader, which collects data from business processes and analyses strategic information.
Thanks to this software, all data collected in the company’s management system is organised coherently, making it possible to have results that are updated daily, reliable and useful for precisely identifying the company’s critical points or strengths, and for supporting programming and strategic decisions.
It is a business intelligence system.
By B.I. we mean the set of data and calculation and analysis functions within business processes. It is an umbrella term covering the processes and methods for collecting, storing and analysing data – verified and verifiable – extrapolated from company operations or activities with the objective of improving performance. All these elements create an overall picture of the company, helping the team to make increasingly incisive decisions.
Business Intelligence is not merely an IT tool but a genuine methodological approach. B.I. extracts data from the company’s management system, both accounting data and project order data.
This tool is useful not only for administrators but also for management and department heads to verify and plan strategies and activities. Furthermore, through B.I., performance indicators for individual collaborators and offices/departments are set and verified. B.I. is useful for improving every single sector of the company.
